A KOMANI YOUTH MOVIE ON THE MOVE

A local YouTuber, Chulumanco Kave and an aspiring writer, Ibenathi Barnes are on about making a Komani-based movie to give opportunity to the town's upcoming actors and actresses.

Kave always had an idea of doing a movie for a long time but opportunities she would have snatched were outside of town and all she wanted was to do is to groom the town's raw talent. On the 3rd of May 2020, Kave texted Barnes who happens to be one of friends of her friends and she gave her a proposal which was to be a writer for her movie. This became a dream come true for Barnes as she's been rooting to elevate her level of writing. She was very honored for such opportunity and they have communicated with few individuals that were interested in acting in the movie. Kave said that she can't let us know of everything now but they are planning the movie as everything stands.

"The movie we are on about is about a school boy who no one besides his mother and best friend understand him. His dad keeps on shaming him about his sexuality. All we want to do is to teach people about one's sexuality, the importance of LGBTIQ+H so that people could understand and accept someone as they are." Barnes said.
